Sure beats dA's constant thanking and blind adulations. For the most part, you compete with yourself, and followers will follow, as you improve/exploit.
NG is like an upscale artists ghetto, with YouTube sponsorship the brass ring at the end of it all... even the nicest folks forget about Newgrounds, the moment they hit it big. Heh, for me, this place is the alpha and omega of my internet experience - by not going to bigger websites, I can focus more on the people, and not the products I enjoy.

TBH, I blew almost 500$ on the artists here 0__o I used to be rather creative before joining up here, and can empathize and respect the amount of work and care these productions/pieces can take. Plus, I got a car insurance settlement :| And I believe in patronizing good things whenever possible, and not Walmart or Facebook or any other impersonal institution.

I actually ran into someone today, who raved about NG's Art Portal :) I'm so glad you're here! Just rewatched your animation, you've got a nice clear speaking voice, and the mouth animations were nice! I hope you'll continue to use Flash to get your ideas out.
